TWO German folk costume jackets blouse Schwalm Tracht handmade national dress XL
Two handmade woman's tops from the Schwalm region of central Germany. These were both made/worn by the same woman and will fit a larger size than most Tracht making them particularly desirable. They measure approximately 25" across the front between the underarms and across the bottom, and 18.5" down the middle of the back. Each features handmade buttons down the front and is trimmed with black velvet ribbon along the edges. Probably around 30-40 years old and part of the local Tracht of the last generation of women who still wore it on a daily basis. A nice piece of fashion history and still very wearable today!

Antique lady's folk costume blouse from Schaumburg region in north Germany (Lindhorst, Buckeburg). In excellent condition from the outside with just some small holes and wear to the felted wool lining. Measures 20.5" across the front between the underarms and 22" long. A nice addition to your ethnic wardrobe! I just returned from a trip to Germany so please see my other auctions this week for more German folk dress.
