Vintage folk costume kerchief from Lowicz region, Poland. Made of white cotton with hand-embroidered flowers and hand-tied fringe along two edges. Worn folded across the diagonal and tied around the head. The fringe is damaged in spots as shown in the photos. There are also some small stains and marks. I have not washed it. A nice example of the local handicraft, in need of a little TLC. Measures 31" square not including the fringe.
