Estate found Plains pipe tomahawk with pewter mouthpiece. Haft is heavily and deeply file burned, and bowl has seen use as it is drilled for smoking. Blade has a teardrop shaped eye and has a bleeding heart type cutout and hand-center punched edge designs.

Large and showy MUSEUM GRADE EXTRA DETAILED example taken from a museum deacquisition. A fabulous old Eskimo hide Umiak with a finely made wooden framework inside and a male hunter with a carved wood face and wooden arms and hands as he holds his long ore. The oar has organic details as well as on the tips of the Kayak, various " floats" as well as long trailing floats. Additional rigging is attached as shown as we;ll as two harpoon like tools. Looks to be c.1900 or earlier. Stitched with sinew and having a fine old patina. AS NICE AS WE'VE SEEN . Nice large scale that will stand out in your advanced to investment grade collection. There are often newer ones that copy this style of model but this one is a good early one. An authentic and classic work of early native Alaskan art and it has NO RESERVE !.

Ingot silver with natural turquoise. A single oval turquoise sits at the center in a serrated bezel, the stone a soft green with brown matrix running through it. Twisted wire borders run the length of the band on both sides, framing the stamped field between them.
