Presenting an exceptionally fine vintage Maori dance paddle expertly hand carved from one solid piece of native Kauri wood by Terewa Kerekere. This exquisite piece features a finely detailed Tiki face to the front face of the blade. The Tiki is rendered in a traditional style with superb diamond sawtooth carving and is depicted with a large protruding tongue and inlaid paua shell eyes. A diamond motif contained within an elliptical shaped border adorns the stub of the paddle, perfectly unifying the design.
