Set of 4 Tiger Maple Wood Dining Chairs, with original Woven Rush Seats, 1850s

Antique chairs. I fell in love with these thirty years ago when I bought them at Ambiance Antiques in Menlo Park for $1600. They are beautiful tiger maple and have the original rush seats. Obviously, many signs of wear on the original finish. Two hidden metal screws in one of the chairs (pictured); otherwise, all wood doweling. One chair has a repair on the backing (pictured). Each chair is approximately 33” high and 17” at widest points. Gorgeous in person. Very comfortable. Handy to have around for extra guests.
