Rare Antique Sheet-Iron ("Tin") Conical Oil Lubricator, Screw-In Brass Cap

Thanks to an observant Ebayer and member of the Rushlight Club, I've corrected my earlier listing for this item. The thin "wick" fouind on this item may be a red herring, for it is likely NOT a lamp, but a hand-held vessel (in the same form as Maine tin lamps of the later 1800s), but likely used to hold lubricating oil, drops of which could be released by pushing the small bulb on the base. Essentially, it's akin to today's cans of WD-40, but probably held a heavier sort of lubricant (hence the tiny pin inside the cap, which would keep that oil from congealing within the thin opening.) Total height: just 4 1/2". base diameter 2 13/16".

Neat old cast-iron dolly in solid vintage condition, manufactured by the Yankee truck company in New Milford, Connecticut solid piece of iron and steel. In good condition, could use some cleaning but overall nice. Does have a few chips on the inside rims of the wheels, minor. The steel rods in the center do have a bit of bend them. Not sure if that’s originally supposed to be there or just from use. Likely manufactured late 19th century, but no date just patent applied for. Kind of a unique design as perhaps a safe or other heavy object was to be put on this and the whole dolly does articulate a bit so would go over bumps or other. Measures roughly 21 x 15 1/4 x 4 1/4 tall and weighs about 27 pounds
