RESTORED JOHANN BAPTISTE SCHWEITZER GERMAN 4/4 TRADE VIOLIN, AMATI COPY, C-1890

This violin, based on the historical pattern of Hieronymus Amati Pestini, is slightly modified in the German Tyrolese manner. Amati Pestini, 1813". Based in part on information found in the publication entitled, "Universal Dictionary of Violin and Bow Makers " by William Henley, Johann Baptiste Schweitzer was an actual violin maker who was born in Vienna, Austria in 1790.

However, upon further investigation and based mainly on the nature of the internal construction of this violin as received and as further revealed during the restoration process, we believe that this violin is not an original Sderci, but is most likely a mass produced German trade copy.

RESTORED ANTIQUE 4/4 VIOLIN SIGNED S J HRINAIK STRUTHERS, OHIO W/CASE & BOW 1925

The violin is signed and dated internally on the wood by the maker (details below). Included with the violin is its original hard carrying case and a nice Glasser bow. We have completed a series of relatively difficult repairs and restorative actions associated with this Hrinaik violin as detailed below.

Nice Vintage Old Antique Early/Mid 1900s German "Hammig - Mittenwald" Violin

Up for auction is a early/mid 1900s German made "Hammig" 2 pc back full size violin for setup/restoration. The 2 pc. curly maple back measures 14 1/16 by 8 1/8 inches. There are no bassbar or soundpost cracks on the violin. The scroll and pegbox are in good condition and the neck is solid. The violin is lined and has 4 corner blocks. The violin is labelled as a "Joh. Heinrich Hammig Mittenwald Made in Germany" (please check pics). The violin looks to be in nice overall condition (please check pics).
