This is very rare Woolly Mammoth Bronze Statue. It was either a private commission, or down for a foundation. The piece is marked Shoop 84. with only a single 5 meaning it was likely limited to 5 to 10 pieces made. There are several Ice Age museums in Wyoming and was likely made for some commemorative foundation or event. The glued on plaque is missing. The base is 9 inch square walnut. The Mammoth is 10 inches tall at its highest part from the top of the base. it weighs 16 pounds. This will likely take special packing to prevent damage to the artwork. Very impressive in person.
