Authentic antique wooden crate panel from Nestlé’s Food Co., New York. Features bold original stencil lettering “NESTLE’S FOOD” with packing designation “3 Doz. Large.” Constructed with early finger-jointed ends and original black stencil paint. Dates to the late 19th to early 20th century. Shows excellent age, wear, and natural patina from use. A fantastic piece of primitive advertising, perfect for farmhouse or industrial decor. It is in 2 pieces, could be fastened together or left the way it is....Measures 9"x11" as a whole.

The Iceman's Snow Scraper Thompsonville Conn. 1928 Advertising Sign

This is a neat old advertising sign or equipment nameplate for The Iceman's Snow Scraper, Manufactured by Peter A. Crombie Jr, Thompsonville Conn. Measures 16.25" wide by 6.5" high. I was able to find the patent for it, the patent number is 1,690,886. I've attached a screenshot of the patent image. I believe the sign is nickel or chrome plated brass. The letters are all slightly indented and filled with black paint. This could have been a nameplate that was affixed to the snow scraper, but I'm not sure. There is some plating loss in the lower right corner but the sign still displays nicely. This item will ship via Fedex. Let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for looking!

I believe this is bronze because of the weight, it could be brass but my guess its bronze. Its not magnetic. If it was brass, i believe it would weigh less. Its got an edwardian look to it. I don't know what its exactly for. Door bell or door knocker, front door mail chute, may be a safe tumbler cover but i think the tumbler would have to be small. Nice piece of old advertising associated with a company that goes back to the days of jesse james. He wrote them a letter. I've bought alot out of the hamilton and cincinnati area over the last 30 years and i never saw another one of these.
