Hornet Paper Bee Hive or Nest

This bee hive was constructed on our window this past spring. It was so very interesting to get to observe the bee activity going on inside the hive. After the winter came, and the bees all left, we carefully harvested this hive. I have several minutes of video I can send you from this summer. It is in very good condition, with beautifully woven paper and the comb intact inside. I am not sure exactly what kind of bees they were, we thought they were yellow jackets, but they seemingly do not build their nests in such an open area, so hopefully you can identify them in the video.
