EDGAR BRADFORD McCLURE, USN (1916-2007). McClure served with both the AVG (Flying Tigers) and as a Hellcat fighter pilot with VBF-9 during WWII. This is well inscribed FDC in good condition with normal signs of age and handling.

Superb, signed b&w~3.5 x 5postwar, pencil signed lab produced photo of Reinhard Hardegan, Cpt of U-147, and U-123. He won the KC on 1/23/42, and was the 89th recipient of the Oakleaves, on 4/23/42. His wartime tally shows 24 ships sunk, for a total tonnage of 18, 204. On Dec 9,1941, the US east coast was opened up to the U-Boats. Hardegan scored the 1st sinkings.

Otto had been drafted twice before, but sent home as "Not fit for service at present underweight!". But in May 1940, Otto was finally drafted into the 104th Infantry Replacement Battalion. Following training, he volunteered for the Panzer Corps. Otto learned the fundamentals of tank warfare at Putlos in Holstein as a member of the 7th Panzer Replacement Battalion. His unit was integrated into the newly formed 21st Panzer Regiment and June 1941, was sent to East Prussia. He experienced his first battle in a Panzer 38(t) during Operation Barbarossa in late June 1941.

Framed vintage Associated Press color news print of the Marines raising the American flag on Mt. Suribachi, Iwo Jima, on Feb 23rd, 1945. This framed print was hand signed by Joe Rosenthal and comes with a notarized Letter of Authenticity LOA from JSA (James Spence Authentication) authenticating the original signature of Joe Rosenthal located near the bottom right hand corner of the news print. The picture frame measures 19" X 24". The UV protected frame is brass colored with a light blue matt around the news print.

Admiral of the Fleet John Rushworth Jellicoe, 1st Earl Jellicoe [1859 1935] was a Royal Navy officer who began his military career in 1872 and served in the Anglo-Egyptian War, the Boxer and the First World War.

Nice, signed b&w 4x6 photo of Fritz Tegtmeier. From Wikipedia...Fritz Tegtmeier was posted to the 2nd Squadron (Staffel) of Jagdgeschwader 54 (2./JG 54) in October 1940. He was severely injured on 17 November 1940 when his aircraft crashed due to engine fire. He returned to his Staffel in the spring of 1941 and claimed his first aerial victory on 22 June 1941, the first day of Operation Barbarossa on the Eastern front. Tegtmeier with seven aerial victories claimed, was again severely injured on 10 September 1941 in a midair collision with a Messerschmitt Bf 110 near Gatschina. He bailed out with his parachute and was put in convalescence for many months. He returned to active duty in April 1942 and was assigned to the 1./JG 54. By the end of 1942 he had claimed 29 aerial victories.
