Painting measures 34 1/2x24 inches and is signed J. Newsome. Rare depiction on an African American Soldier removing the dog tags from his fallen brother while the bombs fall. The original painting dates from the late 1960's and is in good condition. It needs a light cleaning and probably a reframing.

The rest is history. This blues song was written by Jesse Fuller and initially recorded in 1954. Havens had a distinct style and passion, his voice matched well with an energetic rhythm on guitar.
