Vintage Tribute To Walt Disney Cartoonist Don Wright Characters Crying Mickey
This is a very RARE original newspaper clipping from The Pensacola News Journal in Dec 1966 upon Walt Disney’s death. The tribute illustration featuring Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Bambi, Jimini Cricket, Goofy, Pluto, Dumbo, and other characters in mourning, is by Don Wright, a known editorial cartoonist for the Miami news. The clipping is 6.25” x 4.5”. There is a tear at the top corner and a piece of tape applied to the backside. One of the photos above shows an internet search identifying the cartoon. Even with condition issues, this is rare prized Disney memorabilia among collectors.
