Nice early red cross flag which i believe is a field hospital flag. As found uncleaned with some wear, stains as pictured. Its a fairly large flag, approximately 70 1/4" x 46". By the mid-1950s (specifically 1956), the Red Cross moved to a "Unified Volunteer" look. Fabric: A high-quality cotton or early Dacron-cotton blend. This "easy-care" fabric was introduced in the early 1950s to replace the heavy, 100% cotton seersucker of the war years, allowing the cap to maintain its crisp shape with less starching.
