Spine is mostly detached and there are other signs of wear - dog-eared corners, ink spots, etc. Large Court record book from late 1800's from Circuit Court, Nodaway County, Missouri. Lists legal proceedings and their outcomes.First date I find is 1879, although there are many undated pages before that, so it may have been started prior to 1879. Last date I find is 1881. Great look to it, and interesting to read

It is engraved with all the information on the sterling part. Marked sterling as well. Great puece of Illinois history. The gavel is still in very good shape. 1956 Compilation of Georgia Laws Relating to Segregation of the Races Ga
Rather scarce pamphlet entitled “ Compilation Of Georgia Laws and Opinions of the Attorney General Relating to Segregation of the Races- Eugene Cook, The Attorney General State of Georgia”. Apparently the first complete gathering of statutes governing the segregation of races in Georgia. Includes pretty much any topic including those on marriages, births, transportation, trespassing and even the tax exemptions of schools. Eugene Cook served as the Attorney General for Georgia from 1945 to 1965 and also as a Justice on the Georgia Supreme Court. He believed the NAACP to be a Communist organization. Despondent after his wife's death, Cook died of a self inflicted gunshot wound while still serving on the court. Measures 4” x 9”, and contains 93 printed pages. Careful shipping 6.00
