Early German or Austrian Hunting Sword with Scabbard (Inlaid Handle)
This is an old what I believe to be a German or Austrian hunting sword with original scabbard. Wooden inlaid decorated handle with brass mounts. Scabbard is leather over wood with brass throat and tip. Handle has decoration on four sides. There is some wood loss present as shown in photographs. Blade has some wear and oxidation and tip has rounding. Scabbard has leather wear and loss with some wood splits as shown in photographs. Scabbard throat is loose and slides. Total blade length is 20". I have taken detailed photographs. I believe this sword dates from the 1800s. Buyer pays 30.00 s+h. No international.

Antique Afghan Pulwar/ Tulwar Sword
Beautiful antique Afghan pulwar. Blade in the handle is solid with no movement, still very sharp. Makers mark to the blade. The pommel spins, but won't seperate from the grip. Pommel has the prayer bead present inside. Blade has a bend midway up and tip is slightly rounded. Age and wear throughout.

This is a classic 19th Century Imperial Russian pioneer 1834 Sawback Short Sword (or sidearm). The new "Tesak" entered service in 1834 replacing the heavy & curved 1827 pattern. Double edged blade with serrated sawback edge and deep fuller.
French Cuirassier Heavy Cavalry Sword
Absolutely stunning example of a French heavy cavalry cuirassier sword. Shows signs of period correct sharpening towards the tip (pictured). Small amount of movement in the guard, but handle and blade are solid. Excellent patinination to the brass guard. Faint traces of date inscription on the back, but 200 years of existence have left it unintelligible. Poincons designate it as no earlier than May 1815, so who knows if it made it to Waterloo. This was a purchase from the UK, so it only adds to the potential in my eyes. The only questionable thing about this sword is the scabbard, maybe a later replacement; you decide. No scabbard blade is etched on 1 side but hard to make out see pics. Overall length is 23". Blade length is 19". Blade does have some nicks along the edge. This felt on 1 end of the blade see pics. Blade is little loose. Blade does have some light pits not bad though blade is dark.
