Up for sale is a beautiful antique Brussels Duchesse lace BERTHA COLLAR. Entirely hand-made in Belgium, this fine example of mid to late 19th century lacemaking employs both bobbin and needle work (thepoint de gaze rose inserts).

Two pieces of handmade point de gaze lace in fair to poor condition. lots of photos; zoom in for details. These explain the condition better than I can. both have holes to the ground and interestingly- although they are a matched set it appears one piece was cleaned and one was not as the colors are different.

Fine large bertha collar composed of 2 laces- a lovely light ecru floral and leaf embroidered net lace with an ivory guipure edging. The 2 laces are joined as shown in photo 13. The inside edge of the netting is unfinished and could easily be finished by hand or machine- see photos 14, 15.

Antique Victorian Tambour Net Lace Lappet Long 49"
Beautiful antique lace long lappet or embellishment measuring approximately 49 inches long. I have shown in the pictures that this embellishment was made to have a slight curve to it. Many possibilities for this piece of gorgeous lace. The width varies a little bit but is approximately 2 1/2 in wide. The lappet is in lovely antique condition with only a couple of pulled threads see photos and 2 minor breaks at the edges. All these imperfections have been represented in a photo.
