Charming antique WWI "sweetheart" silk handkerchief. Features the words "Remember Me" and a short poem, the US flag, and a soldier and young girl in black print on the white fabric, with a red, white and blue flag border. The hankie itself measures 10" square and it has been scotch taped to a piece of cardboard that measures 10" by 13". The hankie is in "fair" condition as it had been folded into quarters and the area in the folds is lightly torn in the center, causing a separation in the design, but someone obviously mounted it with the intention of keeping it intact and framing it. Other than the damage to the center, it is super clean and retains its poignancy and beauty!
