Large Reunion Ribbon- 140 th New York Infantry Regt - Rochester NY 1900
Here is a large Civil War veteran reunion ribbon- Otis Day- 140 th New York Volunteer Infantry Regt.- Rochester NY-1900. The ribbon is in fair condition. There is repair work done to back to keep it solid. It measures 9 1/2 inch long with tassel and 2 3/8 inch wide. The ribbon measures 7 1/2 inches from top bar to base of ribbon. Little George Meade Jr. look at this ribbon closely this is from a very famous Gettysburg battle service regiment. They served at the Little Round Tops and blunted and held off a major Confederate attack that could have turned the battle to the Confederates favor. The 140 th New York Infantry served valorously the entire war and lost a lot of men. Any questions please ask and thanks for looking.
