Japanese World War II Arisaka type 30 Bayonet with leather scabbard & frog. Manufactured by Matsushita Kinzoku KK Arsenal. Has rust and wear associated with age\use throughout. Blade is still relatively sharp.

Japanese Type 30 Bayonet Last Ditch By Toyoda Auto Loom Works

Late war Japanese Type 30 Bayonet. Square pommel, flat squared quillion, and unfiltered blade identify this as a "last-ditch" late war production Marks at the base of the blade indicate it was produced by the Toyoda Auto Loom Works (currently Toyota) under supervision of the Nagoya Arsenal. Pommel shows the number 3 followed by two Kanji and the number "34227". The muzzle ring of this example has been broken off. Other than that the bayonet is in excellent condition. Steel still has a strong blue with minimal signs of rust. Wooden grips are in good condition with tight riveting. Bolt is free and moves smoothly.

Japanese Type 30 Bayonet with Simplified Hooked Quillion, birds head pommel, and simplified metal scabbard. Blade is in overall good shape with some scratches and pitting. Cross guard and pommel show surface oxidization with minor pitting and machining marks. Contoured and screw-retained grips appear to have lost their finish and are rough to the touch. Bolt in pommel moves freely. Clear machining marks are visible across all bayonet parts. That combined with a lack of arsenal marks may imply production by an inexperienced manufacturer. Scabbard has minor surface oxidization but displays no dents. Item has no identifying marks.

Up for sale is a very cool pocket knife. This has a can opener and a small blade. These were issued to field troops. The bail locks the can opener down. The blad has been sharpened. WWII Japanese Type 30 Rifle Bayonet measuring 20" overall with a 15.5" blade. bayonet with some handling wear, use, on the handle, blade looks excellent, Ricasso stamped with TALW Arsenal (Toyada Automatic Loom Works Arsenal). A serial no. on the pommel end. Scabbard shows some scattered pin-prick pitting areas. See photos.

Japanese Type 30 Bayonet with Hooked Quillion, Squared birdshead pommel, screw retained grips and early war metal scabbard. The bayonet is in overall good shape. Blade shows small amounts of oxidization along with a few pits and chips on the Blade. The leading edge of the fuller on one side shows an odd production defect where it narrows suddenly before ending. Wooden grips show some denting and splits but the finish is still smooth to the touch. Crosspiece and pommel have surface oxidization. Bolt in pommel moves freely. Scabbard has patches of oxidization but the surface is consistent and smooth without dents. "32" stamped on pommel, no arsenal marks.

Japanese Training Bayonet measuring 19.5" OAL, blade is 15". Rivet handle, good working press-stud, bayonet shows age patina, wear, use. Scabbard shows some dents and scattered pitting. These training bayonets were used to train Japanese Soldiers in WWII. They did not have arsenal marks and had no blade edge. See photos for further details.

Cross guard and pommel show surface oxidization with minor pitting. Contoured and screw-retained grips show some dents but are smooth and have been blackened through some process. Bolt in pommel moves freely. Scabbard has surface oxidization and pitting but displays no dents and retains patches of a black coating that had been added at one point. Markings consist of a Nagoya arsenal mark and the pommel has "13955" along with two unidentified marks
