This is a great desk-top accessory for the Sporting field, Fox hunting or equestrian enthusiast , a well-modelled and naturalistically-painted bronze fox-head lidded ink-well ,missing original glass liner. The base is brass decorated with a riding crop , whip and stirrup . The edge of the base cast with an oak-leaf /acorn design. In good original condition , minor wear to painted decoration. The only marking was the "154" on the bottom. This one appears to be missing the inkwell itself which others have, and this could be where the marking would be. A VERY ATTRACTIVE INKWELL which could be made functional with the addition of an inkwell.
