This is an attic find that was filthy when found. I cleaned it up but did nothing else to it. I'm not an Atwater Kent collector but I believe these model 10s on a Pooley board are fairly rare. It's either a model 4590 or 4700.

A battery box for a Grebe model MU-1 in overall good condition. The battery box has several scratches and a couple chips in the rear wood feet, and stains from batteries on the inside bottom. Fresh from an Estate is this rare Federal Telephone & Telegraph 120 Radio. Its chassis looks very nice, and looks to me to be all original with Federal marked parts inside. Its cabinet has some wear with stains on its finish. Its bottom board has a little of its top layer of laminated buckled with a small strip of that missing. It displays nicely. This 1927 Atwater Kent model 33 radio is a great piece for a collectors shelf. Next the cabinet! I removed the existing laquer from the surface but kept the stain. You see the end result. The results made my heart skip a beat.

Inside, it looks better with little wear. There are a total of seven tubes, most of which appear to be UX-199. The speaker is a very early Utah. We've made no attempt to test the radio or even power it up, but should make an excellent addition to any antique radio collection!
