Incredible preservation! Also known as "pipe organ" coral. 1.75lbs of fossilized coral from the Southern Bighorn Mountains in Wyoming. The detail is incredible on this specimen. Syringopora is an extinct genus of phaceloid tabulate coral.[1] It has been found in rocks ranging in age from the Ordovician to the Permian, although it was most widespread during the Silurian, Devonian, and Carboniferous periods. Check pictures for size. Approximately 6" x 5" x 3". Note the angle, as it is note square. I am a native of Wyoming and collector of mineral specimens, fossils, and artifacts.
