Unused letterhead sheet and matching business envelope from the General Electric Company's Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory in Schenectady, New York, printed in black on blue stock. The letterhead carries the GE monogram, the "Operation Up-Turn" promotional logo ("Buy now for extra values"), the laboratory name, "Telephone 3-6611 or LD-160 . . . Schenectady, New York," and a footer reading "Operated by the General Electric Company for the U.S. Atomic Energy Commission." The envelope's return address reads Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, P.O. Box 1072, Schenectady, N.Y., and is dated 4-58 in the corner, placing it at April 1958; "Operation Up-Turn" was a General Electric sales campaign run that year. Knolls was a naval-reactor research facility operated by GE for the Atomic Energy Commission.
