Vintage Thimble Mexican Sterling Silver Applied Wire Scrollwork Sewing Tool 1"

Pictured is a vintage Mexican silver thimble with applied wire scrollwork design. The thimble measures approximately 1" tall with a 3/4" diameter and weighs 2.5 grams. It is marked "Mexico" inside along with an additional partially legible maker's mark. The metal has been acid tested and indicates sterling silver content. Condition is pre-owned. The top shows perforations consistent with normal use. There is a visible seam split and internal cracking as shown in photos. There are also two small holes on one side of the thimble, likely from a previously attached plaque or decorative element that is no longer present. This area is shown clearly in photos. This piece is best suited for collection or display.
