This bike is in used condition with scuffs and scratches. Please see the pictures. The tires hold air, but they are dry rotted. The brake mechanism works properly. This will be shipped disassembled, unless you choose to pick it up at our location in Bassett, Virginia.

First production year for this bike and first year for Schwinn using a balloon tire bicycle. Very nice repaint with few small blemishes like shown in the last 2 photos. I did not try to touch them up.

Here is one of the coolest 1970s crossover era bikes ever made! (I believe this one was new around 1976-78. The serial number is HC0179726?). This bike is from the era when most everything was cool!

1968 COLUMBIA 20" PLAYBIKE 3 SPEED CONSOLE STICK SHIFTER STINGRAY STYLE BICYCLE

As you can see, this is a bike for riding with little to no worries about adding another scratch, etc. I recovered the Troxel seat with gray glitter vinyl as the original vinyl was trashed. This Troxel seat is not a 2 pan seat like Persons so you may want to locate the rivet holes thru the soft vinyl on the sides of the pan and add rivets.

1970’s Ross Apollo Racer in blue. The fork is slightly bent back. Rare color, original paint and decals. Everything works properly. Lots of original parts, except tires. Front is a Schwinn Spitfire 20x1.75. Rear is an unknown slick tire 20x2.125. This bike shows age, patina, nicks and scratches. No dents or major damage. Ships promptly partially disassembled and professionally packed in a proper bike box.
