SS United States Silverplated Desert Forks set of 8 Manhattan Pattern

For you today we have a set of 8 beautiful silverplated Manhattan Pattern Desert Forks. These are very beautiful and ready to use; they are in very good condition with only lite ware. As mentioned above they Do Not have the U S LINES mark on the back, these came from a lot of silverware bought at the 1984 auction of contents, possibly these were a late addition to the silverware toward the end of the ship's service. They are in the matching pattern and are quite lovely. The United States Lines Silverware Service calls these Desert Forks; however, they would be great dinner forks as well, they measure just at 7 1/4". Would be a great addition to any SS United States silverware collection.

VINTAGE S.S. UNITED STATES COCKTAIL GLASS WITH UNITED STATES LINES LOGO - RARE !

Beautifully styled clear glass with the etched logo of the United States Lines. There is a very small embedded air bubble opposite the logo and a similar size one on the base of the glass. Capacity is 3-1/4 ounces.

That is in looks and condition, this goblet is a wonderful size to use for many drinks, nice healthy glass of wine.. This is one of my favorites due to its beautiful style and size. These feature the Capitol at Colonial Williamsburg. They are in wonderful condition and very good quality. The engravings are lovely. I have seen these laminated and used for table placemats. As said before 2 have small issues, also 2 are more yellow from age, the other 12 are great.

SS United States Liqueur Glass

For you today we have an SS United States Liqueur Glass. It is a 1 1/2 oz size with a fill line around it at 1 oz, great way to keep up with how much is being served. The glass is 3 1/2" tall and the top of the glass is 1 3/8" across. The United States Lines calls this glass "Liqueur, Lined at 1 oz, 1 1/2 oz" These glasses are very hard to find and are rare, making them a great addition to any SS United States collector. They are a wonderful way to celebrate such a great ship!

All of the rubber feet and bumpers are in great condition. I am not sure what decks these chairs were used on but there is a photo that shows folks enjoying a deck in these chairs. It is the only photo that I have seen of these chairs.

SS United States Show Plate

For you today we have an SS United States Show Plate. These plates were placed on the dining table for a high impact presentation! Prior to food being brought to the table these plates were removed. This plate has the eagle logo of the U.S. Lines all done in gold leaf. You see this logo used in many ways on the U.S. Lines ships. On the back is a number, I am told by other collectors that it is a date code for when the plate was made, in this case this plate was made in February 1963. This plate is beautiful at 63 years old! There are no nicks, dings or cracks. This plate is a must for a great addition to your SS United States collection. Stand not included.

These are very lovely and are ready for use. It has a slight wobble but is very usable. Both stands are beautiful and the silverplating is wonderful and very reflective. These Parfait Stands would be a beautiful addition to any United States Lines collection.

For you today we have a United States Lines Ice Cream Stand. This piece is made by the Gorham Silver Company and is silver soldered. It is marked on the bottom UNITED STATES LINES GORHAM silver soldered 015455. This is an older piece and could have seen service on the SS United States as well as other older US Lines Ships. This ice cream stand is quite showy and is very usable. I am sure many folks were very happy to see this brought to their table filled with wonderful treats! Beautiful addition to any United States Lines collection.

SS United States Bouillon Cup Gray Star China by Lamberton Sterling

For you today we have a SS United States Bouillon Cup made by Lamberton China. It is in the classic Gray Star Pattern. This cup has the double handles for ease of use with hot liquids. The condition of the cup is very good as stated in the condition box. I am including a saucer with the cup for free because the saucer has slight damage but is still very usable, it has hair line cracks but can still be used. I did not want to discard them because they are from a great ship and have seen much use. The United States Lines Inventory calls this a BOUILLON CUP with 2 HANDLES 8oz. This cup is a great item from the ship, and I am sure it has served wonderful soups and bouillon to eager passengers. Nice addition to your SS United States collection.
