Vintage Hand Pieced Feedsack Patchwork Quilt Top Topper nine patch 60 x 85
Here is a quilt topper hand pieced from a variety of cotton or cotton blend fabrics. I think most of the fabrics are feedsack material. I do not know the age of this needlework. Please note that this is a quilt top, not a finished quilt. It has no batting and no backing. Just fabric blocks and strips hand pieced / stitched together. There are 7 rows of 10 blocks, alternating nine-patch (or 16-patch) blocks and one-piece paisley fabric blocks. Total of 70 blocks. There are 31 nine-patch blocks and there are 4 16-patch blocks.
2 Vintage Cotton Feedsack Cutter Quilt Tops Crafts Or Repair
These both need some TLC. They are old, cotton and have stains and tears. The fabrics are wonderful. The patchwork rectangle even has Old Davy Crockett fabric. The patchwork rectangle piece is about 64X 21”. The other one is super uneven so really hard to get an accurate measurement. I did get 63” for the width but the length is all over the board. I laid it out on our hot tub so hopefully that gives you an idea.

The hexagon feedsack pieces have been hand stitched to the top white feedsack. The batting has been removed and there is a cut across one end. the "back" is a large floral pattern. This piece is as found with small holes and widespread light discolorations (as pictured).

Here is a quilt topper hand pieced from a variety of cotton or cotton blend fabrics. I do not know the age of this needlework. Please note that this is an unfinished quilt top, not a finished quilt. It has no border or edging. No batting and no backing. Just fabric pieces blocks hand pieced / stitched together. There are 11 rows that each have 21 triangle pieces: rows alternate with 10 solid blue and 11 paisley floral print triangles or 11 solid blue and 10 paisley floral print triangles. Total of 231 triangles (11x21). Each triangle is about 4 1/4" x 5 1/2", although each varies slightly.
