Very nice minicircuits SMA amplifier, 12V input. Datasheet is online if you pop in the number, but in short it's +15dbG up to about 2.5GHz, and slopes down to about 12dBG at 6 GHz, with a NF in the respectable 3dB-and-change over that range.

I com IC-718 Jf Transceiver, with proffessionally installled Icom UT 106-DSP Recieve unit installed from Ham Radio Outlet, where purchased. purchased as part of an estate liquidation. Used with an Icon PS-85 SC power supply and AT-180 auto tuner. Unit has not been hooked to a short wave antenna but seems to perform as it should. Please see photos for details. Seller is not an expert and has no short wave certificate. Has not been attached to an antenna. Cord to and from antenna tuner included only.

The only reasonable fix is to use an SS worm-gear clamp around the case to hold everything in place. Also, bear in mind that the screws that hold the escutcheons in place, while they look like typical modern 4-40 in size, they are actually 4-36, such that if 4-40 screws are used, the shallow brass threaded inserts in the escutcheons will likely be stripped.
