Antique white eyelet cotton christening gown with white cotton undergarment with lace trim. There is minor wear and tear. A bit of the lace trim on the undergarments is pulling away on the back side, but otherwise that garment's in pretty good condition. The gown itself does have some fraying along the bottom eyelet lace border but nothing egregious. It's also missing a button on the back. Please see photos. It's such a sweet little set. 71 cb18

Here are an antique baby christening gown or dress with a slip to go underneath. These are well over 100 years old and are from my family. These were made by either my grandma or great grandma, who came from Sweden and then lived on a farm in Michigan. The dress measures 20” from shoulder to hem, and the slip is 19”. Mother of Pearl buttons on the back of each. These are in very good condition. There are a couple of TINY spots on each. I have not washed these; they will benefit from a careful soak and handwashing. Please view all photos and zoom in for closeups of the lace.
