Vintage Simpson Best Badger #46 (can be seen faintly on the handle) shaving brush. Butterscotch colored handle - research indicates its a milk protein-based plastic which oxidizes into this color. Badger bristle brush. Handmade in Britain. Stands about 3.25" tall and the handle base has a 1.25" diameter. This was my husband's - he doesn't use this method of shaving anymore but used it in the 60's/70's & beyond. The bristles are still full/not overly worn but the handle has cracking - see photos. Smoke free home.
