On that face is a gold setting bearing 12 seed pearls. There is normal wear from gentle use. The marks seen on the Onyx are much more obvious in the photos because of the type of lighting used in my photo booth.

Antique Mourning Locket with Tintype Photo, Gutta Percha or Jet Case

Antique Victorian era mourning locket. Looks to be thermoplastic gutta percha or jet. There is a small tintype photo of a man, housed behind glass. The brass rim holding it in place is a little tarnished, and the glass is scratched and scuffed. Tintype and glass fit a little loosely within the frame and pops out with ease. On the opposite side, there may have originally been a piece of hair work, but it is empty now. Case is a little scuffed in spots, but is still in good working order, opening and closing as it should. Measures approximately 2“ x 1.25“. Sold as it is. Please ask questions if you have them.
