1964 AMC Rambler Classic
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 26th year in the classic and muscle car business. The AMC Rambler was one of the first successful compact cars to emerge from Detroit in the postwar era. An unexpected downturn of the economy gave the economical and well-built Rambler an advantage with cost-conscious buyers. Designed by Ed Anderson in 1963 and refined by Richard Teague the following year, the handsome Rambler Classic was Motor Trend's "Car of the Year" for 1963. This 1964 Rambler Classic Hardtop Coupe is a fine example of these surprisingly attractive compacts. Lift the hood and you'll be greeted by the optional and remarkably smooth 287 V8.

1969 AMC SC/Rambler
1969 AMC SC/Rambler Hurst â?" Numbers-Matching 390 V8, Close-Ratio 4-Speed, 1 of 1,512 Built Why This Car Is Special The 1969 AMC SC/Rambler Hurst is one of the more deliberately engineered sleepers in the history of American muscle. American Motors and Hurst Performance built just 1,512 of them â?" a small enough number to make any survivor significant, but it is the details of how this car was built that make it genuinely remarkable. AMC took their compact Rambler American body, dropped in the 390 cubic inch V8 rated at 315 horsepower, bolted in a close-ratio Borg-Warner T-10 four-speed, hung a functional ram-air hood scoop from the hood, and sold the whole package for $2,998 â?" the lowest sticker price of any true muscle car in 1969. A GTO Judge started at $3,161 that year. A Chevelle SS 396 was over $3,600.

1970 AMC AMX
1970 AMC AMX â?" 360 V8, Factory A/C, Numbers-Correct Example in Bronze Why This Car Is Special The 1970 AMC AMX sits in an interesting place in muscle car history. It was the last year American Motors produced the AMX as a standalone two-seat model â?" a configuration it had held since the car's introduction in 1968. Starting in 1971, the AMX name was demoted to a trim package on the four-seat Javelin. That makes 1970 the final chapter of the true AMX as AMC intended it: a dedicated two-seater built to compete directly with the Corvette on price and with the Mustang and Camaro on performance credentials. AMC produced 4,116 AMX units for the 1970 model year, a significant drop from the 8,293 built in 1969.

1979 AMC Spirit Hatchback
8135 1979 AMC Spirit Hatchback "The Spirit is proof there's been a dramatic change in thinking at AMC. For years it tried to out-VWVW, out-Datsun Datsun and out-Toyota Toyota, only to be met with less and less success. AMC may have pioneered the economy subcompact thing in this country, but those foreigners have stolen the show." Car and Driver, February 1979 For consignment, a 1979 AMC Spirit with unknown mileage. This race car ran at Atlanta Raceway, according to our consignor, from 1979 to 1983 and now presents in decent, barn find condition.

Exterior Sitting on 14-inch Magnum 500 wheels, this racy car with its long front hood and beautiful long sloping back looks great in Matador Red.
