1970 Chevrolet El Camino SS 396
Welcome to Street Dreams as we celebrate our 27th year in the classic and muscle car business. Chevrolet's El Camino was a coupe utility vehicle that was introduced in 1959 to compete with Ford's similar Ranchero. Ford of Australia was the first company to offer a coupe utility in 1934, the result of a letter from a farmer's wife that requested "a vehicle to go to church in on Sunday and which can carry our pigs to market on Monday". Together with the Ranchero, the El Camino proved that there was an American market for a sedan-based utility vehicle that could perform most of the duties of a light truck. With a much longer list of available options, a lucky soul could equip the El Camino like this gorgeous Fathom Blue (28) 1970 El Camino SS396.
