In 1954 at GM Motorama, GM desginers and engineers unveiled a uniquely designed 2-door wagon to the public to gauge their reaction to the bold design. Consumers loved the car, tagged as one of Harley Earl's "dream cars". Instead of developing an entirely new model line to support the wagon, Chevrolet, using the existing popularity of the Bel Air name, presented the Nomad as the Bel Air Nomad - a wagon for those looking for more space in their Bel Air. The wagon was a hit and would continue production on and off until 1972. This 1957 Nomad is nothing short of spectacular. The result of a high-end frame-off restoration, this wagon's exterior gleams with a show finish in turquoise and white.

This Nomad was restored to the highest level with just 2,036 miles since completion. Finished in highly desired color combination of Boyd Coddington red with tan leather interior. This Nomad is ready for show and go and is powered by a strong LS6 EFI / 505HP mated to a 4L60-e four speed automatic transmission. With custom four wheel independent suspension, this Nomad rides and drives fantastic. The paint is amazing with a mirror like finish with a deep reflection. Classic Car Addict is excited to present this beautiful 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad for sale in our Mesa, Arizona showroom. The Nomad was refurbished and modified in 2016 and is powered by an LSA 6.2L supercharged V8 linked to a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission. The cabin was fully refinished, and the original seats and door panels were used. Ciadella Interiors in Tempe, Arizona completed the interior. Gray leather covers the cabin and a new hi-ply carpet was installed. Appointments include 3-point harness seatbelts, power windows, power locks, Vintage AC, and a keyless ignition. The four-spoke Chevrolet steering wheel sits on a chrome Ididit column with a Billet gear selector.

It was missing the doors and we just purchased a very nice pair of correct doors for this project car.
