1957 Chevrolet Nomad
Vehicle Original VIN : VC57L128810 Here we have a beautiful 1957 Chevrolet Nomad-one of the most sought-after Chevys of its era. The Tropical Turquoise paint presents exceptionally well and pops against the crisp white top. All chrome and brightwork are sharp, clean, and properly fitted. The chrome grille and rear trim pair perfectly with the classic 15-inch Cragar wheels, giving this Nomad a show-ready, cruise-night stance. The exhaust exits just right, clean and purposeful. What you see is what you get-and what you get is near perfection.

1957 Chevrolet Nomad
1957 Chevrolet Nomad - Turquoise and White In 1954 at the GM Motorama, GM designers and engineers unveiled a uniquely designed two-door wagon to the public to gauge consumer reaction to its bold, forward-looking concept. Consumers absolutely loved the car, which earned its place as one of legendary GM design chief Harley Earl's revered "dream cars." Rather than developing an entirely new model line to support the production wagon, Chevrolet wisely leveraged the existing popularity of the Bel Air nameplate and introduced the Nomad as the Bel Air Nomad - a sport wagon for buyers seeking more space without sacrificing the prestige and styling of Chevrolet's flagship trim.

Chevrolet unveiled it at the 1954 General Motors Motorama at the Waldorf Astoria, borrowing its styling cues directly from the Corvette, and the crowd response was so enthusiastic that GM moved it into production essentially unchanged. When it arrived in showrooms in 1955, it was the most expensive Chevrolet model in the entire lineup aside from the Corvette itself, priced $210 higher than a four-door Bel Air wagon and $266 more than the convertible. Only 8,386 were built that first year.
