This 1958 Ford Fairlane 500 Sunliner is gorgeous 50s cruiser with tasteful performance upgrades and was the beneficiary of a frame off restoration. In 1958, American car sales took a bit of a dip due to the economic recession at the time. Likewise, experts had predicted that American preferences would begin shifting away from large, full-size cars to smaller more economy-focused automobiles such as the Rambler and Studebaker Lark. Nonetheless, the Ford Motor Company re-vamped the styling across its entire passenger car line. Sporting new front ends with totally redesigned hoods complete with a faux scoop, new-look "Honeycomb" grilles, new fender-mounted "Gun-Sight" ornaments, and updated parking lights and bumpers, the '58 Fords had a new, more futuristic appearance.

1955 Ford Fairlane Victoria

This 1955 Ford Fairlane Victoria is a nicely running and driving 50s cruiser with a stand-out look and California history. 1955 marked a major inflection point for the Ford Motor Company. Across all passenger car lines, Ford revised the style of its cars both inside and out. On the exterior, the new 1955 Fords sat lower, were slightly longer, and appeared flatter than the previous generation of Fords. Also significant in the passenger car line was the introduction of the Fairlane, the top-of-the-line passenger car series that replaced the Crestline series. Of course, the name "Fairlane" came from the Ford Family's esteemed "Fair Lane" estate. The interiors were also revamped in the 1955 Fords including new instrument panel styling that sat below the backlit speedometer that was carried forward from the previous year models.

There are new suspension and brake parts tires, carpeting, seat material, generator, battery and fuel tank. The valves have been resurfaced. The Power Steering is a vastly improved pump and steering box combination that is a huge improvement over the original equipment. The Black and Yellow Paint are just like new except for a few chips. The interior is in excellent original condition also. The engine is quiet and has good power. The transmission shifts and performs excellent. The top works just like it should. The 6 volt battery is a heavy duty model and is near new...everything works like the wipers, radio and door locks. This is a hard to find model and runs and drives excellent.
