The Lamborghini Blancpain Super Trofeo series, launched in 2009, was a one-make racing championship in partnership with Swiss watchmaker Blancpain. Featuring all-wheel-drive Gallardo race cars, the series supported major motorsport events like the DTM, FIA GT, and WTCC. Open to professional and gentleman drivers with an International Competition License, Lamborghini also fielded factory entries with celebrity drivers. At the 2012 season finale, Lamborghini introduced an upgraded Gallardo Super Trofeo with 620 hp, improved aerodynamics, enhanced brake cooling, and increased downforce (281352 lbs.). The 5.2L V-10 engine, paired with a six-speed sequential paddle-shift transmission, powered all four wheels. Weighing just 2,900 lbs.
