Approximately 1050 Elite Type 14's were manufactured between 1959 and 1963. The cars achieved 6 class wins at the. 24 Hours of Le Mans in addition to many other successes.. . Car was built for import to US for Bob Challam| Ecurie Shirlee Corporation (sole US importer based in Manhattan Beach CA) 9/19/1962. . Lotus handwritten records indicate it is engine # 10767 however the actual block is 10769 which is a factory number.
