King 603 Bb Beginner/ Student Cornet

I am pleased to offer this King 603 Bb cornet with a serial number of 236193 for your consideration. This is a very nice looking and excellent functioning cornet that has been reconditioned to ensure total reliability throughout its daily use for years to come. As with most pre-owned instruments, it does contain an assortment of dings, scratches and finish loss consistent with student use. Most all dings are on the leadpipe by the top of the valves. This cornet has been ultrasonically cleaned, flushed, and all worn valve guides, stem felts, top cap felts, valve springs and water key corks have been replaced. All tuning slides have been freshly greased, and all three valves are oiled and responsive. All braces are tight and secure.

After that we oil all three pistons and synthetic valve oil. we then grease and clean the four tuning slides for tuning slide grease and make sure they move smoothly as they should and they do. basically we professionally go through the horn 100%.

Frank Holton & Co. “New Proposition” Silver Cornet — Chicago, c. 1913-1914

The valve block is stamped “PAT. Holton Chicago-era cornet. Circa 1913–1914. The horn has been recently ultrasonically cleaned and serviced, with new valve felts, corks, and springs installed. All three valves and the tuning slides move freely, and the horn has good compression.

Bach CR 300 Bb Beginner/Student Cornet

I am proud to offer this Bach CR 300 Bb cornet with a serial number of A56536 for your consideration. This is a very nice looking and excellent functioning cornet that has been reconditioned to ensure total reliability throughout its daily use for years to come. As with most pre-owned instruments, it does contain an assortment of dings, scratches and finish loss consistent with student use. The third valve tuning slide sticks when pressure is first applied to slide out the tuning slide, but glides smoothly thereafter. It’s my suspicion that the slide tubes are not entirely parallel. This cornet has been ultrasonically cleaned, flushed, and all worn out stem felts, top cap felts, valve springs and water key corks have been replaced. All tuning slides have been freshly greased, and all three valves are oiled and responsive.

King 603 Student Series Bb Cornet Clear Lacquer w/ Case

**** This instrument shows light cosmetic wear consistent with normal use, including minor surface scratches and possible signs of prior dent removal. There is no significant pitting or major loss of plating, though light surface marks may be visible. There may also be evidence of previous structural repair, such as light solder marks. The instrument has been used but is fully functional and plays as intended. The case included may differ from the one pictured and may not be the original; however, it will be properly fitted to ensure the instrument fits securely and is adequately protected.

The Model number (CR310) is on the lead pipe and the serial number (C95715) is on the second valve casing. The bell is inscribed "Bach USA". I think that the cornet was manufactured in the 1990s. This cornet plays very nicely, with that classic Shepherd's crook tone.

I’m proud to offer this Selmer/Bach/Bundy Bb cornet with a serial number of 461680 for your consideration. The Bundy model is the predecessor to Selmers current line of the Bach CR300 series cornets. This is a nice looking and excellent functioning cornet that has been reconditioned to ensure total reliability throughout its daily use for years to come. It does contain an assortment of dings, scratches, and finish wear consistent with a pre owned instrument. There were several dents removed along the bellcurve and tail that left the surface uneven. I was unable to remove the two impressions at the bell brace on the bell side. The one bell brace was resoldered, not by me.This cornet has been ultrasonically cleaned, flushed, and all worn valve guides, stem felts, top cap felts, valve springs and water key corks have been replaced.

It was made in Elkhart, Ind in 1956. It's in overall very good condition. The horns plays and sounds good and, of course, sounds more like a cornet. Appearance-wise, most people would think it is a 38B.
