This is an original Kalamazoo EKE-3713 lap steel guitar, built in Gibson’s Kalamazoo factory in the mid-to-late 1930s. The lap steel has been tested, played well and sounds excellent. It’s in great shape especially for its age with minor wear to the body.

Gibson BR 4 Lap Steel Husk 1940s

Will need some tlc obviously. The main husk is structurally sound. No cracks or neck breaks. Finish has pretty much all worn off. Two extra mounting holes on headstock for one non original tuner. Doesnt look to have any extra holes. The gold pickguard / control mounting but one pot mounting hole is broken. There are other cracks in the pickguard. The piece of wood that is the fret board could use some tlc. May need to be replaced. Ships fully insured and packaged with care.
