Fox Model 2 Wood Bassoon (serial#: 2592)
The pads are in very good condition. There are a couple that should be replaced. Although all are doing their job currently. Overall condition of this instrument is accurately portrayed in the pictures. The loop for a strap that is on the boot joint is missing. Also the mechanism that holds the optional brace for the right hand is also missing. There should be some pictures that show this… Maybe the last two or three? My woodwind technician says these arenot difficult to fix. The padding in the top of the case on the inside needs to be reattached. But the case secures the instrument well currently and we will ship this safely.

The pads and corks are in good condition. There are no body cracks present or repaired and a small crack in the bell ring has been professionally repaired. The bassoon body has minor scratches throughout from normal use and the lightly tarnished silver plated keys have minimal wear.

This bassoon is untested but looks to be in very good shape in regards to pads and key corks. The joints fit together. There is some wear to the finish of both the keys and body. The bell ring is also cracked in two spots and has come unglued. No Bocal. The case is in very decent shape besides one latch (furthest to the right, pictured) which is detaching.
