Vintage Pessoa Figure 8 Bridle With Reins Amazing Condition Full Size
Amazing quality Pessoa bridle from back when the quality of these were exceptional. Pessoa makers mark is in middle disc of noseband, but is very faint. Herm Sprenger buckles on some pieces. Some flaws- for some reason, the cheek pieces are a little “wavy”, like they had been stored crumpled up. During the restoration, they have significantly smoothed out, but still slightly wrinkled. Also one keeper on the throatlatch is big (not loose). Comes with brand new “soft touch” reins with stoppers that I personally bought from a saddle maker in Brazil. They design tack based on the likes of Nelson Pessoa. These are brand new, nice quality that intended to be paired with Pessoa tack. Happy to provide additional pictures and measurements!

Great condition, used less than 5 times so it is still not fully broke in. An absolutely beautiful bridle, just trying to narrow down my dressage stuff. The biggest flaw are tarnish spots on several of the metal fittings & buckles. Examples are shown in the photos. Shouldn’t be that noticeable when being used but still there nonetheless.

Some stitching holes from where the chain was on the inside of the noseband, I believe these will eventually become less noticeable with use, cleaning, conditioning over time. Not visible when on! Loose thread on the nose band by the buckle holes that doesn’t compromise integrity, could probably be trimmed off, but otherwise no flaws!!
