The product is an early 1900's antique Steiff mohair bear, measuring 9 inches in size. This small bear is a part of the character family of bears and was made in Germany. Snip was made by Steiff in the 1920s and 1930s. He has smooth brown-tipped mohair and a swivel head. He's in a standing position. He has a stitched repair on his stomach area that blends in very nicely.

Vintage bear. He is about 16" tall, and jointed at the neck, shoulders, and hips. He was found with several Steiff toys, and has a small piece of metal in one ear (feels kind of like a staple), but no Steiff button, so I do not know if he is a Steiff or not. Please view the photos and judge for yourself. This vintage bear is in as-found condition. He shows overall wear to his fur. His paws have some areas where the fur has worn through, showing the straw stuffing. Please see photos for more details about the condition of this bear.

Steiff Teddy Bear, a high-quality collectible toy from the German company Steiff, known for its craftsmanship since 1880. The larger bear is approximately 19" and does not growl, the smaller is 13" and is a very good growler. Note the missing tag on smaller bear. Both are articulated.
