This is a 19th century prosthetic eye from Lauscha Germany. The iris color is blue. The full globe prosthetic was used in the 1800's to fill the entire eye socket after the enucleation of an eye.

This auction is for a nice pair of leather trimmed opera glasses with original case that probably date from the 1920s. The glasses are 3.5" long and can easily fit in a pocket or purse. They work very well. There is also an original leather case that go with them. With the case, one of the two snaps is broken. Otherwise the case is in good condition. There are no markings on the glasses that I can see that identify the country or manufacturer of the item. The condition is very good.

Most of the antique Murine bottles seen are thin slender vials. Comparatively speaking, this one is quite large and held quite a bit of the eye water. Exposure to ultra violet rays trigger a chemical reaction and the minerals in the glass (manganese) oxidize and take on a wonderful purple hue.
