1920s Art Deco Bronze Figure – Dancing Lady Holding Globe – Cold-Painted in Gre
Elegant French Art Deco figural group of a kneeling huntress reaching to her borzoi, signed FOGG to the marble. The figures are cast in spelter with a warm bronzed patina and sit on a striking striped plinth of black and white marble—classic 1930s geometry that sets off the lithe lines of the dog and the streamlined dress. A substantial piece with great shelf presence: approximately 32 cm high, 65 cm wide and 16.5 cm deep. Honest age to the finish: small rubs and touch-ups to the patina, a few tiny nicks to the marble edges and general surface wear from display; nothing that detracts from the look. Solid, decorative and very “Old Money” Art Deco—perfect for a mantel, console or shop window.
