I've had the pleasure of meeting them both.. He is basically blind,due to cataracts, but continues to work in clay., with the help of his lovely wife. This piece was done by one of the apprentices in the workshop. It is a man holding two mermaid.babies, on one side is a mermaid with a baby and the other side is a pregnant mermaid.... It measures about 12 inches, tall and about 13 inches wide. and it is very heavy. It's a very whimsical piece. And would be a perfect addition to your mexican folk.Art collection...ACCEPTING ALL REASONABLE OFFERS!

Vintage hand made piece. Please review pics for condition. It appears that there was something that was on the front shelf of the alter, because there are two small holes there. Presumably it was some skulls, but they are now missing. It also appears to missing one of the flowers on top. It looks like it could use a cleaning, but I don’t want to risk damaging the paint, so I won’t attempt it. Sold as-is.
