Antique Victorian gold filled & mother of pearl 1893 CHICAGO WORLD'S FAIR Stanhope binocular watch fob or bracelet charm. In excellent antique condition. When viewed in front of a light it displays a tiny microphotograph of the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago. I believe the building that is showing is one of the great exhibit halls with the words Universal Exhibition (third word I can't make out) followed by the word Chicago. Measures 7/8''. It was very hard to get pictures of the microphotographs but hopefully you can get an idea of the building. Thanks for looking.

This is a wonderful book with what I counted as 188 photographs of the 1893 Columbian Exposition in Chicago, Illinois. It was published by Rand McNally and is hardcover. It measures 11 & 1/2" by 9 & 1/2". The pictures are grand! The spine has pulled away from the print block but everything is complete with the last page being loose. It is a wonderful view of a wonderful event.

This is a very nice copy of a quite rare magazine - the September 1893 Cosmopolitan magazine (volume XV, number 5) that included an extensive set of articles and photos from the 1893 Chicago World's Fair Columbian Exposition. As noted, the magazine has some wear and chipping to the covers and fading of paper to the advertisement pages at the front and back of the issue. The World's Fair content, however, is in very nice shape. And there is an extensive amount of content on the World's Fair - that section runs from page 514 to page 640.
