Beautiful antique Afghan pulwar. Blade in the handle is solid with no movement, still very sharp. Makers mark to the blade. The pommel spins, but won't seperate from the grip. Pommel has the prayer bead present inside. Blade has a bend midway up and tip is slightly rounded. Age and wear throughout.

ANTIQUE ISLAMIC SHAMSHIR SWORD - CAST BRASS HILT - 25" LONG BLADE - VG COND.

An antique 19th century shamshir, a common style of sword found in several different Islamic Middle Eastern cultures. It has a 25" long, curved carbon steel blade, overall length is 31 7/8". The cast brass hilt is decorated with several of the crescents associated with Islamic culture, and other raised decoration, mostly foliate. It is in very good condition, with a few tiny spots of very light pitting and surface rust , mostly near the tip on one side. There are no other issues. The edge is dull.
