I am offering for sale a 19th Century gilt bronze statue depicting British Prime Minister and File Marshal, Sir Arthur Wellesley, the Duke of Wellington. Wellington defeated Napoleon at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815. It is in excellent condition with age appropriate wear and patina. The detail is very fine and the likeness is vivid. It measures 4 inches tall including the base.

It does seem to contain a serial number which is very hard to read which could indicate that it was made by Wilkinson sword.

Nice, non-dug Mexican Navy or Marines coat button. Plain reverse with some darkened verdigris on the back. There is a small chip in the rim noticeable on the reverse -- it looks to me more like a manufacturing flaw rather than damage, but I've pointed it out with a blue arrow in the pics. Measures 24 mm. These look very similar to the Swedish and Swiss Bayonets, but those have a 2.6" socket, the Turkish ones are 3.125" long. These also do not have any markings on them, which is correct. Model 1874 Peabody-Martini rifles.
