Nice little 9th plate tintype of a unidentified union soldier in fair condition. The case is also original but not to this photo. The case has come apart at the hinge but otherwise in good condition.

This is a great Civil War Bible most likely brought to the US on a Blockade Runner from England into the Confederacy. Owned and signed by Thomas H. Nance, 2nd Mississippi Infantry. He enlisted in 1861, was wounded at Gaines Mill in 1862.

Carte de Visite of Confederate Major General Samuel Bell Maxey of Texas. There is a RARE Leaman and Lee artists backmark. They were photographers in the 1860s in Readong, Pennsylvania. He raised the 9th Texas Infantry and was elevated to brigade command. Maxey later was in charge of the 2nd Indian Cavalry Brigade before ending the war leading a di vision of troops.
